No more diets
Well, it's been sometime since I've had anything to post here. I am back up and running fully now...so to speak.
I have prayed for sometime for wisdom to know how to fight my food issues. Sometime ago my friend Kelly recommended "Love to Eat, Hate to Eat" by Elize Fitzpatrick.
Mostly I have been focusing on prayer and time in the Word. I've been reading Love to Eat too and the scriptures she gives have meshed well with my prayers and other scripture readings.
So, after doing the lemon cleanse (a great nutritious fast!) and praying and seeking the Lord through that time, I think I am on the right track finally.
Exercise wise I workout 2x on Elliptical and weights, and 2x doing Tae Bo.
Nutrition wise I'm convinced that diets just make me over sensitive to food. So, I've just been eating very clean...no whites (sugar, pasta, flour), back to olive oil (no butter), no baked goods or sweets. I started working on getting the 30 g of fiber they say we need a day and drinking more water. I am weighing, but really trying to focus on not allowing food to have any control in my life.
Oh, and depression has been non-existent!!!
So, that's all for now...except I'm really ready for the weather to get nice for biking!!!!

Get day in the exercise way. I ate healthy, drank lots of water and walked over 11,000 steps (which includes a trip to the Y). Yahoo...it's a start!!!

Lost my momentum! Time to fire it up!

Well, the holidays are a painful reminder that I've gotten busy and lost my momentum. I'm praying for the Lord to teach me consistency!
The Y is have a small indoor Triath and the training sessions start soon. I'm going to see if I can sign up for the swimming and of course Lisa's running sessions...yippee!!!!!!!

No time to celebrate

So, for the last couple of weeks I've been conscious of the fact that when the race was over I'd have to keep going. I decided on my new routine and contemplated doing some other events.
My friend Dusty from work reminded me yesterday that when you have a goal, you can't waist time celebrating the achievements along the way. Then, last night on The Biggest Loser, one of the contestants said the same thing. It clicked. That's what Dusty meant.
So, off we go again. I started w/Jillian Michael's backside workout dvd this morning, then work on running at the Y this afternoon, and watching what I eat. No time to stop. The triathlon was awesome, but it was just a major step in the right direction!!!
